Happy 9th Birthday to the Sweetest, most adorable little lady ever!!!

how could see go from this :  to this :

It seems she is growing up rather quickly. I always share my birth story on her birthday so

I was 19 when I got married, andrew 20, all I ever wanted was to get married and be a stay at home mom… So we decided we would work on that right away, some people choose to wait, we didn’t and not once have been sorry!!!
We found out about Brooke in Nov of 2002 and wanted to wait til Christmas to tell our family, well that didn’t work out like planned bc I got to sick and my mom was really worried… So we broke the news to her, there were tears of happiness all around….
It was a long nine months… I was sick and still in college, I had to take time of from school and be admitted in hospital, I had kidney stones and was so sick….
Andrew lost his job and we had to move to St John’s, moved here at 8 months pregnant and had a time trying to find a doctor, found one I really disliked, he had no bedside manners, I was due Aug 12, 2003. I went to see him july 28 and he said I dilated 3 cm and would give birth early that morning, he also went ahead and stripped my membranes, I still really didn’t think this was it, sure enough I woke at 630 am and needed to pee, before I stepped out of the bed, my water broke, I told andrew I had peed my pants, he said no your water broke, I had no pain and had no reason to go to hospital, called my parents and told them I was in labor, SO I showered, ate, pack my bag(just in case), got to hospital around 8 am, they checked me and I am 6 cm dilated, they take me to labor and delivery, they told me to take a shower and relax, I had one of the best showers of all time, once out of the shower I am 8 cm and ready to bring my baby into the world, with only her mom and dad there to meet our bundle of joy!
The nurse hurries to get a doctor to deliver my baby, no doctor makes it, she is delivered by an intern at 8:54 am, Brooke Lynn Grothe, 8lbs 4.1 ounces!!
I consider myself to be a very blessed mother, I am blessed wwith a healthy baby girl who is my pride and joy!
Happy 9th birthday Brooke!! We love you

We love you princess! you get sweeter every day.

Tomorrow we are heading to my mom’s house.

Thursday- July 19- left springdale for moms at 11:30 am. Arrived just before 1. Spent the afternoon shopping with mom.
She had made a big jigg’s dinner for us, aunt loretta and kids, pop and betty for supper. We also had birthday cake for Brooke. She got $100 in money for presents.
After dinner we went to visit family and friends and had a bonfire.

    Friday: July 20.
Up at 6:10 am, had to leave for 7.
I have the horrible cold that Andrew and Brooke had. I slept all the way to the ferry.
Arrived in Port Aux Basques at 12 pm. We ate at subway and then checked in.
Ferry loaded at 2:00 pm, left NL at 3:15.
I got sick within 30 mins on. So I slept til we were gonna eat dinner, took one look at dinner and had to run to bathroom. So went back up to lay down.
Ferry docked in NS at 7:50pm.
Headed to pams now to crash for the night.
Crashed at pams around 11:30- brooke slept in the car at 9:30 and slept til this morning, waking only for a few mins.
Had b’fast with Pam and left at 9:20 am- headed to Cap’ele, NB.
Arrived in Cap’ele at 12:30 pm to a big turkey dinner with Cormier’s and Welshman’s.
Left Aunts house at 3 pm. What an amazing turkey dinner.
    Loved meeting Noah and Caleb.
Now Brooke’s tears have started, my poor baby, left everything behind and I think it has finally hit her hard. Crying helps ease the pain though.
We have arrived in Fredericton, NB at 4:30 pm. Now headed to friends house where we will stay for first 10 days, we move into our house on August 1.

Thanks for following along on our journey to a new province with us!

    Fashion and Gameday Attire
    {Describe what styles of regular and gameday attire are common in your city or region.}

Where most Southerners enjoy foot ball, here we love hockey ~ _ i am a boston bruins fan and i am proud to be a hockey fanatic.

When we go to games we wear a jersey representing the team we are cheering for. WE dont dress up in fancy dresses with heels to go watch a game, because if we did, we would freeze, we have a lot of -3 degree weather during hockey season. im happy to stay home and watch the game on tv while staying warm.

Whats your game day attire or favorite sports/team

    Food and Drink
    {Tell us about what bevies and foods are popular in your neck of the woods}

Food here in Canada- we are the type who love to hunt for our own food, no we dont solely rely on the wildlife. We all enjoy fish and moose meat.

We also fry a lot of stuff

If you’ve never had a good old Newfoundland scoff, you’re in for an unforgettable experience. Newfoundlanders are known for their ability to cook up a storm, and they serve up dishes as interesting as the land from which they come.

Pan-Fried Cod, Brewis, Britches and Cod Tongues

Not surprisingly, much of the traditional Newfoundland cuisine includes fish. The codfish is king here, so while all other seafood is named accordingly, if you see the word ‘fish’ on the menu, it’s codfish they’re talking about. You’ll find pan-fried cod served just about everywhere. Filleted, dipped in milk and flour, and browned in a skillet of pork fat, this dish is a must-try.

Fish and brewis is another popular seafood dish. Brewis is hard tack, softened by cooking in pork fat along with the cod. The best part of this dish is the scrunchions, which are small, crunchy pieces of fat-back pork. They’re extremely tasty, and they make this meal. Fish and brewis can frequently be found on café and restaurant menus

    AS for Beverages-

the city i live in has more bars per capita then any other city  in Canada. So it isnt hard to know what we do in our spare time. Our liquor stores are always busy. as for me- i have never drank alcohol in my life, all i know is that it stinks, i could bear it.

to me there is nothing to quench my thirst like a cup of tetley tez, 2 sugar and milk. yummmmmmyy

     Hair

I live in Newfoundland Canada, ( in 3 days i will move to a whole new state) – the hair styles we are known for here is long and straight
long and loose curls( which i love), my favorite hair style of all is pulled to the side and accessorize with a flower.
Here are some i found with good ol google:

Having a little girl with incredibly long hair- sometimes doing cute hair with her is fun, she dont like to sit still for me to work on it much.

I think i would love to be a hair stylist.

Makeup- I am not one for a lot of makeup, i hate it when its plastered on. Makeup dont make you beautiful but when its on thick it is even worst for your looks.

a natural look makeup is what i really like.

here is a good website to help you pick the correct makeup for your skin.
