Grade 4
It hit me today that my baby girl is going to grade 4, in a brand new school, where so far she knows one person and they are not in the same class.
Brooke asked me today if we could home school her bc she dont want to be the new girl, from what i hear there may be more new people because this neighborhood has one of the best elementary schools here and people move here to attned the school.I can imagine the first day being hard for her and i wish i could go and stay all day with her so that she dont feel so alone.
it feels like her first day of Kindergarten all over, i can see me breaking into tears when i leave her.
Hubby is taking a few days off that week that she starts.Brooke No matter how old you get, to me you are always my baby girl.

Jacen and Anakin both have been in this situation a few times. It was never a big deal to be "the new kid" where we use to live because if you moved a mile down the road, odds were you'd be in a differetn district so there were always lots of new kids in their schools. This year though, where we live now, though this is one of the top school districts in the state, not many new kids start every year. It's really difficult to get your kid registered to attend. If I didn't know people, my kids would probably have had to go to a different school. Anyways, most people here know each other from birth, so it was really difficult on Jacen to be the new kid in 4th grade. He had a really rough first day but he was ok on day 2 and great on day 3! Brooke will be fine! I know you will worry and that's ok. Worrying shows you care!
I moved my poor kids many times. I am sure you will do what is best for Brooke--you sure have lots of a mother's love for her. I sure hope she fits in well.
Prayed for her.
