We just got back from one of the most amazing weekends we have ever had.
we left here on friday morning and drove the first 2 hours to the moncton zoo- beauty of a day and an excited little girl
we were there until mid afternoon, then we drove the rest of the way to PEI.
My cousin was camping there and invited us to join them.
We got there just after 4:30 and sat around and chatted for a bit before going to Pizza Delight for supper.
After we had dinner, i had the awesome thin crust Hawaiian pizza- i havent had for a long time so it was super good.
We went for a drive after we ate, in search of wood for our fire.
This drink can only be bought on PEI- its sooooo amazing and has a pic of Anne of Green Gables on it.
It was a very “fall” feeling night- we all dressed in warm clothes and sat around the fire having roasted marshamallows and reminiscing about old times and the future.
we had no computers with us, so it was amazing to catch up with my husband without computers between us.
Saturday Morning:
After Breakfast we went to sandspit
It is an amusement park and oh so much fun. We spent several hours there, i did get sick on one off the rides and had to ask them to stop it so i could get off.
Brooke is in the blue coming down the slide, she is with my cousins husband and son there
she is on the “mini” cyclone( roller coaster) in the second picture, in the back to the side ( make sense) in blue with my cousin.
After we left Sandspit, we went back to the camp grounds for lunch and off we went to Avonlea( Anne of Green Gables, some of you may be familiar with it.
Brooke has been a fan of Anne of Green Gables since age 5- it was a thrill to take her there to see the way they lived.
We got to go on a horse and buggy ride and Brooke had full control of the horse’s reins, the couple in charge of the horse, sat her right in front with them and spoiled her rotten. She had a blast.
we ended of the day with Cows Ice Cream, there is no ice cream that can compare, here in Canada anyway
We did go back to Sandspit for a bit, to do a few more rides.
Then back to campground for a bbq, clean up and then for dessert again to Cows for Ice cream, back home and made another fire and hung out and chatted again.
Sunday was a beautiful day again and we had to come home because we had things back here at the home stead we needed to take care of.
We viswwited with my aunt who lives 2 hours away, then drove home and got home in time for Sunday service.
Monday- Labor Day- i have not had such a relaxing day in a long time, Brooke and Andrew spent the day Geo caching and i hung out here at home, got caught up on some things, so much fun.
we had friends come by last night for tea.

Been a great weekend.
