  • Two Years

So two years ago today I had the scariest thing ever…

MY LUNG SURGERY to remove a 4 cm cyst that was continuously growing – thankful today for my husband who was beside me all the way, thru sickness and in health- he was there, he never left my side at all. My beautiful daughter who always said she loved me and she was praying for me, my amazing family who was there from the time I was diagnosed with leukemia (even though we later found out it wasn’t) an amazing group of nurses, an absolutely amazing and knowledgeable surgeon who was not only a doctor but she actually cares about her patients, her receptionist makes calls to her patients to see how they are doing. Thank you to all of you for your love and prayers . When my family gathered to pray with me before i went into OR, i felt such a peace and i knew it was gonna be ok, the surgery lasted 12 hours, i dont remember much the day after, but then slowly but surely i came around, got moved from ICU to my own private room, then i was surrounded by friends and family. I am so blessed to know so many people cared about me, my room was like a beautiful floower garden, i had flowers every where...
It means a lot to me to have so many people who care

I feel so blessed to have made it thru this time of my life its been 2 years and all is well.

i thought i was feeling well this morning so i came to work, i regret it, wish i didn't now, i have been feeling sick and tired and in a lot of pain, called to see if i could get some - he didn't want to give me anything yet, told me to take Advil- it isnt helping a whole lot.

I am excited for my long weekend, after today i am not back to work until Tuesday:)
we are going to my aunt's house for the weekend for Thanksgiving, she lives an hour and a bit away from me so we are going for thanksgiving, we have it on Oct 8th here- it is a month earlier then the US.

Brooke has settled in well at her day care, she is having a lot of fun. She is only there about an hour max per day because hubby gets off work at 4, she gets there about 3:30 pm, So she has most time with Daddy anyway, such a daddy's girl.

I wasnt going to do a Weekend Recap tonight because i am far to tired, but because i cannot sleep here i sit with laptop next to me and away i type...
Friday: My last day babysitting my sweet Olivia, the child is so perfect and so precious.
When Andrew got home, we had to go to Kids Klub to take the paper work and deposit there for Brooke to go there after schools.
I went to the mail and i had a pkg there from my sweet friend back home, i dont know if you ever got to try "David's Tea" but it is amazing stuff,

this one is pumpkin chai- i am in love. I also have Momma Mia and ameretto.

Then we came back home and Olivia went home, then we ran to Walmart because we had a birthday party to go too, it was a fun spy birthday party for our Pastors son, he turned 8. They had all sorts of fun games, a spy obstacle course, laser beam, musical chairs, crafts, so much fun.
Saturday: I was so tired on friday night, i slept til 12:45 pm, YES i did, so bad but i needed it.
then I got up and cleaned the house, we went to get groceries at 4:00 and when we got home around 630 i made breakfast for dinner- so does that make it "binner" so very very delicious. It rained here all weekend so we didnt get any outside play in. Melanie, Tim and Olivia came by on Saturday night, we had ice cream and tea- no not together :p
Sunday: Another early day but a day with our amazing church and pastor- we had a great Sunday School and had some visitors as well, we then went out to lunch with Pastor and his wife to St Huberts Express- I had a hot chicken dinner with fries and coleslaw, delish~ good food, amazing friends and conversation. Took my regulary schededuled nap after lunch, then for sunday PM- we had church again and we had our first official South side church, we had it in the school gymnasium and it was such a good turn out, so happy to be a part of this wonderful thing.
Sunday after service i came home, did laundry, tidied kitchen and made lunches for Monday and then i tried to sleep but off course i couldnt, i was so excited about my day today ( first day of work), the alarm went off at 6:15 and i really needed a bit more sleep but it didnt happen because i had to shower and get ready. We have to leave by 7:15 because i work for 7:30.
    New Job:
So in service dept there are all males, i think one female out on the service desk, i am the cashier for the service dept though, so my work area is pretty quiet at times. I think i will do well there and i am excited for tomorrow, after tomorrow i am off til thursday at 1 because i have to get 2 wisdom teeth removed Wednesday morning, please pray for me because i am no the bravest when it comes to teeth and dentist.
My sister has been sending me all kinds of sweetness, look out below

  • Weekend Recap

    Been another great weekend

Friday: After i was done baby sitting Ms Olivia, we were gonna go grocery shopping, but had to wait until 7 because a girl i bought shoes from was coming to bring them over.
So then we went grocery shopping- bad thing to do before u have supper. Brooke was super whiny because she was hungry and wanted everything she saw :s
we took her to mcdonalds after and got her food and i had a spicy thai salad, im on this spicy kick lately where all i want is spicy food, left there and went to Dollarama to get some junk food that i needed for Sunday's party( more on that in a bit). Went to bed way to late, was asleep pretty quick, i love falling asleep very quick. Hate nights when i cannot sleep.

Saturday: We all slept til 11:15, was very nice to sleep in. Yes we sleep in late when we can.
We then ran to run a few errands that we were to lazy to run on Friday night.
I had to go to Dollarama( like dollar tree) to get some prizes for the prize box at Sunday School- they asked me if i would get some because they wanted a fresh pair of eyes to pick out some fun things. I took what prizes that was the box and made them into Surprise Bags, so no one knew what they were going to get and it was a big hit. Those kids are great kids.
New friend came by~ Morgan. She is going to babysit if we need her at times. Very sweet girl.
Brooke had her new friend Destiny over for a sleep over, was fun to hear my baby girl laugh again, she hasnt had a friend over for a sleep over since the first week we lived here, they were well behaved and it was very nice :) They went to sleep shortly after going to bed, had them selves worn out.

Sunday- I love my church and i love the people that go there.
It is so different then the church back home, it has more people and more music, not that those things are important but it sure helps.
Sunday School was at 10:30- my husband played drums- I love that man on the drums. He is even cuter when he is playing guitar.

After Sunday School- Levi came over for lunch, he is our Pastor's kid back home, he is here for Bible School, he is a sweet kid and we all love him

After we ate, we all crashed til around 3pm, then i cleaned kitchen, and prepared for Sunday Night's Party
    Party:
We have about 15-20 bible school students coming to our chruch this year, it is so nice to have them with us, we wanted to show them our appreciation and we had them all over for Nacho Night- we were about 2 hours cutting tomato, green onion, red pepper, green pepper, yellow pepper, cheese, preparing brownies. It was fun, Thanks Levi for your help.

After church everyone came over, we had so much fun, we laughed a lot, it was just good clean fun.
They were here until 10pm and then i cleaned the house again ( a womans work is never done)

Thanks guys for coming over :)

Check back tomorrow for some exciting news from our family <3
